Research & Publications

My research spans philosophy, cognitive science, and AI, with a focus on how knowledge is formed and what happens when that process is shared with machines. I work on epistemology, metacognition, and causal reasoning on the philosophical side, and on natural language processing, large language models, and knowledge representation on the technical side. The connecting thread is a set of questions about understanding, agency, and autonomy that become urgent as AI systems grow more capable of operating in the medium humans use to think.
